Will active sync sync with the standard windows address book and mail? (instead of a personal or a outlook address book)

active sync in vist
Possibly not. However they are making much progress in making mobile devices much more easier to work with and synchronise with your desktop though :o)

Right, thanks for the input. I am curious as you would expect vista's new windows address book and mail programm to be integrated with the mobile world.

I think that ActiveSync (might be renamed) will be included in some editions of Vista, and if not then it'll fully interact with Windows Mail... transferring new contacts across from one device to another. Expect some good things to come out of it :o)

The sync manager is currently not functional in Windows Vista 5270, it possibly will be in the February CTP, you should check that out when it becomes available. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "qalias" wrote in message
